My friend Ben was shot and killed today. He got in the way of a professor who killed his wife and another man, both of whom I knew only in passing. Ben was a wonderful actor, and a sweet man. He was old. He played Prospero in a production ofThe Tempest that I worked on two years ago. It's not fair.

You do look, my son, in a moved sort,
As if you were dismay'd: be cheerful, sir.
Our revels now are ended. These our actors,
As I foretold you, were all spirits and
Are melted into air, into thin air:
And, like the baseless fabric of this vision,
The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the great globe itself,
Ye all which it inherit, shall dissolve
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff
As dreams are made on, and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep.

Hey everyone listen up cause this is the last public entry I'm going to make on this journal, at least for a while. I just went through and deleted about 50 people from my friends list. Most were dead journals anyway, but the others were people who I either couldn't remember why I friended or who I don't think read my journal anyway. If you DO want to remain friends, PLEASE just tell me and I'll add you back. This was nothing personal at all. I've just gotten a little worried about internet security and stuff lately, so I've decided to cut back on how much private information I share with people I don't really know. Once again, it's nothing personal.
